What is Group Training Employment?
Group Training Employment (GTE) is the place to contact if you are considering an apprenticeship or traineeship. Be it full-time, part-time or school based (part-time working while you are finishing school), we can help you through the maze of choices and options.
Once you are placed we will continue to support you through any problems, issues or questions you may have, through the course of your apprenticeship or traineeship.
What is an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship combines learning a trade with paid work.
Employed under a Contract of training for three or four years .
Attend a registered training organisation.
Receive Certificate of Competency upon completion.
Receive a Nationally Recognised Qualification upon completion.
What is a traineeship?
Contract of Training for 1 to 3 year/s.
Full-Time.
Part-Time.
School Based.
Gain a nationally recognised qualification whilst in paid employment.
A legal binding agreement which protects trainees and employers.

GTE New Apprentice - benefits to you!
Have access to a trained GTE Field Officer who will provide assistance, advice and support.
Visited regularly by Field Officer at your workplace, with opportunity to discuss progress, problems and issues.
Regular payment of wages on a weekly basis and other entitlements.
Superannuation contributions paid monthly.
Offering you “on the job” experience while being trained.
Offering you “on the job” experience while being trained.
Developing specific and invaluable life skills.
A Nationally Recognised Qualification upon completion.
Opportunity to rotate between Host Employers, providing a variety of work environments, experiences and skills.
