About GTE
Group Training Employment, your community based group training organisation was established in 1985 and continues to offer employment opportunities and solutions throughout the Limestone Coast Region - from Keith and Kingston to Mount Gambier and everywhere in between.
GTE is a not for profit company which is steered by a Board of Directors, each of whom represents a different industry and/or community sector. This ensures our focus remains within the local area and supports local economies by returning revenues into the region's communities.
GTE offers solutions to local businesses by providing them with full time, part time and school based apprentices and trainees in most vocations. All facets of the apprenticeship or traineeship are managed by GTE, including training, wages, superannuation, annual and sick leave, Workcover issues, tool and tuition allowances, incentive and funding claims and support and assistance for employers in human resource, training and safety management. GTE Field Officers regularly visit host employers and apprentices to provide mentoring and support services to ensure the success of the placement. GTE also offers a range of options for rotating the apprentice to other hosts and worksites should the apprentice need an alternate placement for any reason.
