Information For Apprentices And Trainees

GTE employs Apprentices and Trainees and leases them to businesses who are called Host Employers. Whilst you are working as an Apprentice or Trainee for your Host Employer, you remain an employee of GTE for the duration of your contracted employment period. You will also have access to a trained GTE Field Officer who will provide assistance, advice and support and will regularly visit you at your workplace with opportunity to discuss progress, problems and issues.

We service the Limestone Coast Region of South East South Australia, including Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Millicent, Bordertown, Kingston, Keith Penola, Lucindale and Robe.

We provide all type of Apprenticeships and Traineeships including the Building Trades such as Bricklayer, Painter, Carpenter, Plumber, Plasterer, Tiler, Electrician, Refrigeration Mechanic and others.

Engineering and Vehicle Industry are mainly made up of Motor Mechanics, Diesel Mechanics, Fitters, Engineering Tradespeople, Boilermakers, Welders, Sheetmetal Workers, Spray Painters and Panelbeaters.

Other trades include Hairdresser, Hospitality, Clerical, Tourism, Retail, Care Services and may others.
